South West Coast Path Routes

Our walking holidays are designed to showcase the very best of Cornwall without the hassle of moving accommodation each night. We currently offer three routes: two covering different stretches of the South West Coast Path from Falmouth to Plymouth, and one following the historic Saints Way from Padstow to Fowey.

On the map below, you’ll find key locations and points of interest marked along each route, giving you a clear picture of where your journey will take you. Full route details are provided further down the page. Each itinerary combines dramatic coastlines, sandy beaches, historic villages, and - in the case of the Saints Way - peaceful inland trails, all while returning to the comfort of Le Dorney Villas at the end of each day.

During your stay, you’ll enjoy practical comforts: clothes washing and drying facilities (detergent provided), secure parking, and a cooked breakfast each morning before we drop you at your starting point. You can also add rest days, extend the itinerary, or even reverse the route - we’ll work with you to ensure your holiday suits you perfectly.

Please note: Walking holidays are only available outside of Easter, summer holidays, and other school holiday dates.

Padstow to Fowey (2d3n).png

2 day / 3 night route

The Saints’ Way is a historic trail that cuts right across Cornwall from north to south, following the ancient paths once used by Celtic saints, pilgrims, and traders. This two-day walk links the bustling harbour town of Padstow on the north coast to the deep-water port of Fowey on the south. It’s a route steeped in history, passing through farmland, river valleys, woodland, and traditional Cornish villages, offering a very different experience to the coastal paths.

Your first day takes you from Padstow to Lanivet (approx. 15 miles), beginning with views of the Camel Estuary before heading inland across rolling countryside. The path weaves past ancient churches, quiet hamlets, and sections of open moorland. Lanivet, considered the geographical centre of Cornwall, makes a fitting midway stop, with its old church linked to early Celtic Christianity. On day two, you continue from Lanivet to Fowey (approx. 15 miles), passing through wooded valleys, farmland, and scenic ridges with views across both coasts. The trail descends to finish in the historic port town of Fowey, where narrow streets, waterside pubs, and rich maritime history provide a memorable end to this cross-Cornwall journey.

As with all our walking holidays, you’ll enjoy daily transfers to and from your start and finish points, a hearty cooked breakfast each morning at Le Dorney Villas, and the flexibility to tailor the pace of your adventure to suit your needs.
